SUMMARY:Oxford Trees: Emma Coleman-Jones in conversation with Arabella Warner
DESCRIPTION:Emma is an Oxford-based artist, biologist and natural historian specialising in drawing trees. In recent years she has illustrated many of the historic and well-loved trees in Oxford’s parks, meadows, woods and college gardens. Working outside in all weathers and seasons, her light and atmospheric charcoal drawings aim to capture the individual character of the trees and their significance within the landscape.\nThis evening we shall meet some of Oxford’s magnificent trees from ecological, cultural and personal perspectives, and reflect on the practice of observation, drawing, and the sharing of ideas. There will be some of Emma Coleman-Jones’ art on display.\n
