Festival Evensong with Magdalen College Choir

A service of Evensong in Magdalen College’s beautiful, candlelit chapel to mark the start of the Oxford Festival of the Arts, featuring ‘I saw the Lord ‘ by former Magdalen Organ Scholar and prize-winning contemporary composer, Matthew Martin, and settings of the canticles by the late sixteenth-century Spanish composer, Sebastián de Vivanco, and the early twentieth-century American composer, Amy Beach.
