Do you ever wonder what really happens behind the scenes? Tonight is your chance to get a glimpse into all of the glamour (or not!) of the film industry and what it actually takes to do this.
Linked to the festival’s exhibitions of James Gemmill’s and Gavin Lockheart’s exhibition at Pembroke College, we are delighted to welcome Sonja Klaus, whose creative portfolio includes working with some of the world’s most talented directors in the event, television and film industry. Sonja’s credits include Gladiator, A Good Year, Babylon AD, Kingdom of Heaven, X Men First Class, American Gangster, Prometheus, In Darkness, Merlin, Alice in Wonderland, The Odyssey, The Power, The Aftermath, Terminator Dark Fate, A Christmas Carol, and Tomb Raider, as well as Mr Selfridge Season 2 for ITV and the BBC’s Taboo. She recently finished designing the 6 part series of Great Expectations for Scott Free / FX and Disney. She is an active member of BAFTA and AMPAS (sitting on the European Events Committee) and was Chair of the BFDG for the last two years. Sonja is a mentor at several universities in Film and Television Design, The festival is delighted to welcome Sonja also as our designer for our FESTIVAL HALL this year.
Following her presentation, which will include a short show reel of selected pieces of her work, Sonja will be joined by James and Gavin, and the festival director, where the evening turns into a night where we all get to ask the questions we have always wanted to ask.
