The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment

As part of Oxford Botanic Garden’s 400^th anniversary celebrations, the Oxford Festival of the Arts presents the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, who will be performing to a limited audience in Oxford Town Hall; the same place they held their very first concert in 1986.

The Enchanted Forest captivated 18th century audiences with its combination of the tradition of English pantomime, ballet, and French stagecraft. This extraordinary piece, with its highly varied movements, tells a tale of knights, wizards, and monsters.
