The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment
As part of Oxford Botanic Garden’s 400th anniversary celebrations, the Oxford Festival of the Arts presents the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, who will be performing to a limited audience in Oxford Town Hall; the same place they held their very first concert in 1986.
Seasons of Enchantment
You may have heard the Four Seasons before, but no rendition would have sounded quite like this. Performed on period instruments for an unmatched tone, this bewitching concert breathes new life into Vivaldi’s most-loved works.
The Enchanted Forest captivated 18th century audiences with its combination of the tradition of English pantomime, ballet, and French stagecraft. This extraordinary piece, with its highly varied movements, tells a tale of knights, wizards, and monsters.
Enjoy an evening of drinks, words, and truly enchanted music performed by masterful players. Surrender to their spell.
