Tudor Fayre: Community Day
in collaboration with Christ Church, Oxford as part of Wolsey 500 anniversary celebrations
Join Henry VIII and Cardinal Thomas Wolsey, the founder of Cardinal College (established as Christ Church in 1546) inside the Masters Garden at Christ Church to experience Tudor life in 1525. A rare treat to enter this garden, from where you can also catch a glimpse of the magnificent ‘Jabberwocky’ Tree! There will be sword fighting, falconry, music and dance. See how the Tudors viewed the world through astronomy, mathematics, and medicine. Try your hand at spinning fleece, play Tudor games and make your own St Frideswide pilgrim medal! Feast on the hog roast – or the vegetarian alternative.
Booking essential.
