A celebration of humanity. A celebration of our world.

Published by A Bowron on

Inspired by Magellan’s visionary expedition, this year’s festival is a celebration of everything around us: our planet, its peoples, its creativity and ingenuity, its aspirations, and its determination to succeed… just like those who boarded that first ship which circumnavigated the world for the first time 500 years ago.

Everything in this programme is linked to humanity, to freedom, to nature, to the exhilarating richness of cultural diversity, to the (subjective?) Truth, to journeys, and to the extraordinary art that still ‘makes us’.

“Thanks to art, instead of seeing only one world, we see it multiplied.”

OFA2022 promises to be as bold as it is stimulating, as meaningful as it is thought-provoking, and as inclusive as it is beautiful.

This year we present our most kaleidoscopic festival to date – inviting you all to join us on our journey around the world in a multitude of ways: there is laughter, poignancy, revelation, excitement, and splendour awaiting you.

May we always find dance at the still point of the turning world…
