AI: Progress, Promise and Perils

We are excited to return to London following our popular panel discussion featuring three alumni of Magdalen College School now working on the front line of journalism, earlier on this year.
Artificial intelligence is ever evolving – but with progress comes both opportunity and risk. Gain insight into the technology embedded in the fabric of everyday life. Hear from our distinguished speakers, both leaders in the field of AI: Professor Sir Nigel Shadbolt and Professor Gina Neff.
The event will be chaired by MCS Governor Marc Whitmore and there will be an opportunity for audience questions.

Professor Sir Nigel Shadbolt is Principal of Jesus College and Professorial Research Fellow in Computer Science at the University of Oxford.  He has been appointed to the CST – the Council that advises the Prime Minister and Cabinet on science and technology.
Gina Neff is Professor of Responsible AI at Queen Mary University of London and the Executive Director of the Minderoo Centre for Technology & Democracy at the University of Cambridge.
