Closing Festival Weekend at the Ashmolean Museum: Family Festival of Art

We are delighted to be working in partnership with the Ashmolean Museum to offer a weekend full of activities for all ages. Get creative and explore artwork on Saturday, or try your hand at being an archaeologist on Sunday. Both events explore the glorious Wilton Diptych, on loan from the National Gallery as part of their 200-year anniversary celebrations with lots of activities across the whole weekend, to celebrate the muses of history, music, and eloquence.

On Saturday we promise a creative day with activities for all. Take part in tours that explore colours and shapes in the Modern Art Gallery, or work with an artist on Islamic Calligraphy. Listen to stories and unleash your inner artist to sketch statues, or try your hand at creating a medieval tile. During the day you will get a chance to work directly with artists and discover how people express ideas through words and images.

Entrance to all is free
