Pigment research on the Christ Church and Magdalen Wolsey Manuscripts

Professor Andy Beeby (Durham University) and Professor Richard Gameson (Durham University) will talk about the scientific identification of the pigments used in a pair of beautiful illuminated manuscripts produced for Cardinal Wolsey: a gospel-lectionary held by Magdalen College and an epistle-lectionary held by Christ Church.

Both manuscripts will be on display together for this very special event.
