OFA 2020 is postponed and #OFAvirtual is on the way

Published by A Bowron on

As promised, we are getting back to you regarding OFA 2020. In the current circumstances, the most responsible thing to do is to postpone this year’s event.

However, we will time-shift this exuberant celebration inspired by the Field of Cloth of Gold to 2021. It’s a case of delayed gratification! You can expect all the wonderful performances, events and experiences we had planned for this year, you just have to wait a bit longer to enjoy them.

There is a silver (or should that be gold?) lining. Since you can’t come to us this summer, #OFAvirtual will be coming to you! Work is underway to curate a stimulating collection of performances that we will deliver to you on digital platforms so you can enjoy them wherever suits you best. Many of these will be tasters for what will come in 2021 and we will include performances specially arranged for our virtual festival. Arts and culture are needed more than ever now and can provide stimulation, tranquility and a way to step outside ourselves and our immediate circumstances – a haven in troubling times.

You can keep up to date with all the details via our website and social media channels.

If you have booked a ticket for this year, you don’t need to do anything, we will be in touch with you shortly. You are entitled to a refund or a credit voucher for next year’s festival.

However, if you have the capacity to make a donation of part or all of your ticket value it would be hugely welcomed. Your donation will go directly to supporting our #OFAvirtual artists.
