Join us for the last night of the festival with a programme inspired by the swinging singers and classic big bands who have become synonymous with a Golden Age of music – and whose legacy is continues to be revitalized by modern-day artists such as Harry Connick Jr, Michael Bublé, Robbie Williams, and even Lady Gaga (in her collaborations with the late, great, Tony Bennett!). The BBC Big Band and Iain will perform the music made popular by the giants of Swing, including Bobby Darrin, Frank Sinatra, and Dean Martin – as well as a sparkling collection of numbers from the legendary orchestras and swing bands of the era – all performed in the orchestra’s own inimitable, swinging style!
